Electrician Training Courses
Entry to an intensive electrician training course is open to almost anyone as there are no formal entry qualifications, however you must have good colour vision to become a electrician, you can get checked by an optician if you're unsure.
Approximate time to complete an electrician course will vary depending on your course provider but, if you're taking the course to become a fully qualified electrician the course you'll want to choose is the City & Guilds 2330 levels 2 and 3 Technical Certificate In Electro technical Technology. These courses usually range from 4 to 6 weeks.
The course aims to train students to be fully-qualified electrician and be fully capable of tackling any job they may get in the workplace; however it is important to check the qualifications are accredited.
The most well known accredited courses are those with City and Guilds; make sure you check that your course provider is accredited by the City & Guilds or another professional training body.
Intensive Electrician Courses - Get up to standard fast!
With many electrical college courses being full and being part time and taking 2 years to complete many people are opting for the fast route to electrician qualifications, the full time intensive course.
Intensive electrician training course covers all aspects of installation electrician (domestic electrician). You be learning everything that a apprentice on a 2 year apprenticeship would learn only condensed into your full time course.
The training will usually consist of a four to six week course, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
The courses are usually split into two parts theory training on plumbing tools and systems, and the practical hands on training.

Some courses may cost several thousand pound yet the qualification you gain may not stand up when it comes to getting a job.
Ask the provider if the course is accredited by 'City and Guilds', the most common NVQ training provider.
